Long-distance move from Salem, OR to Tucson, AZ

Worst Moving Company Ever.

Avoid this moving company. They will rip you off. They hire people from craigslist who have no moving skills. They did not move me but charge my credit card over $7500 and did so without my permission. I fired them on the spot because their craigslist movers were drunk and dropping all my stuff. Everybody go to California dept of the justice attorney general and file your terrible experience.

Extremely Poor Customer Service!

Booby, who was the individual who took the moving information gave HORRIBLE customer services. He was VERY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND SARCASTIC in answering my questions and concerns, which were only to get clarification of the details that the Groupon stated and other fees that he disclosed to me. His tone was just NASTY! Also he did not return my call back as he said he would after having another customer on hold for about 3-4 mins. while talking to me. Having worked in customer service, I know the proper respect and customer service protocol that should be served to the customer. Bobby DOES NOT HAVE IT! He needs to be taken off the phones because this will cost this company to loose a lot of money and business. It DEFINITELY lost mine!

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Auburn, WA

Such a great experience.

What a great start. I first picked this company because I really enjoyed working with Kaila and I really loved the name New Beginnings, it fit exactly! They charged me by the CF and not by weight. Every items counts! I booked a month in advance however was able to change my inventory as much as I needed to to get as close as possible to my exact pricing. They came in a 26ft truck and thank god it fit through my driveway. I was charged additional for some extra items I ended up wanting to take. Kaila was there for me from the Pick Up to delivery and she was pleasure to work with! Thank you to your team, for honesty and professionalism!!

Long-distance move from Vancouver, WA to Huntington Beach, CA

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I am out thousands of dollars. Lots of broken things, lots of missing things and two boxes of things in my living room that are not mine.
My belongings were transferred from truck to warehouse to truck, all rental trucks.. Pick up was a UHaul as their truck broke down and had to be towed, drop of was a Penske. Guess they don't even have their own trucks. But the guys had T Shirts that said New Beginnings Relocation. The day after my delivery I was given 3 wrong numbers to contact the boss, one number was the Los Angeles Unified School District. He could not help me as he was contracted out that day and working for a different company.
They were supposed to return the next day to put some things together, and return with information as to where are the screws for my desk.. Never got back to me or showed up.
Water damage, from where I have no idea. My ottoman was soaked as well as boxes of books. Fragile boxes found upside down and on the bottom of huge stacks of boxes.
I moved from Washington State to California. I contacted the company, sent photos of all the damaged items. NO RESPONSE.
The price of the move was jacked up after it was all put on the truck.
PLEASE DON"T USE THIS COMPANY.

Long-distance move from Olympia, WA to Santa Cruz, CA

If I could give a 0 stars I would.

Horrible experience, nearly all my furniture was damaged in the move. Even my bike was taken apart. All preliminary setup was done with Derek, who was attentive, and gave me a quote. Turns out it was only 1/3 of what my actual costs were that I incurred. When my items arrived they were damaged, they even unloaded someone else items with mine, claiming they were mine. I ended up with my desk, but no legs on it (it left my house with the legs still attached) and a gash in a century old chair and someone else's step ladder (I didn't even ship one.)
When I contacted them to submit my claim, they sent me to a third party that wanted to charge me per item damaged. This company moved me back in June and I still have heard nothing from them. I am out over $4000 for this move. They need to be stopped.

Long-distance move from Poulsbo, WA to Lake Havasu City, AZ

They STOLE MY $$, Run away from this fake company!

PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!

Derek (818) 928.4544 was the “salesman” I initially did “business” with. - In the beginning, he was awesome.. very attentive to my needs and my confusion in the whole “shipping / moving” my stuff to an “out of state” location.

I had EVERYTHING I owned in a 5x10 storage unit and ALL of said belonging were IN totes (a total of, approximately, 52 totes of various sizes from “small” to “XL.” - NO FURNITURE or “un-stackable” items) .. The “estimate HE GAVE was for a “studio apartment WITH furniture” ~ $1300. ..

Company policy is 20% of the estimate “down upon booking a “pick up” date.” Which means I had to come up with $260.00.. and I had that available, so, no problem..

Like most “house sales” glitches happen and I was forced to put my move on hold due to “closing.”

Knowing I had already committed to New Beginnings Relocation, I contacted Derek and informed him of the new development and told him I would need to push back their services by a couple of weeks.

As though concerned about my belongings, he shared with me then company service of FREE 30 DAY STORAGE and suggested I “go ahead and take advantage of such an opportunity”

After discussing it with my partner, we agreed to this option and decided to move forward.

Derek told me they had a “guy in my neighborhood and a cancellation for pick up in the morning” and I should jump on this while I had the chance. Once again, after discussing it with my husband, we were inclined to accept this as serendipities..

HOWEVER, that is NOT what happened..

The following morning, while In route to the storage unit, traffic was bad and it would cause us to be, an estimated, ten minutes late to their “earliest estimated time” of 10:00am, so as a courtesy, I called Derek.. at which time, He confirmed the driver was in route and “all was good”.. After which, he then informed me that I would need to give the driver a CHECK or CASH for another 60% of my total ESTIMATE, .. then he added.. if I wanted to use my debit card or a credit card, I’d be charged an ADDITIONAL 9% of the “total due” upon completion of the move..

Did I happen to mention he changed the estimate to NOW TOTAL OVER “$3600.00??

I was in a predicament so I conceded, agreed to the additional fee and would figure out how to come up with the money when the driver got there.

Already stressed out about coming up with another $1600.00 on an hours notice, I started to watch the clock and the road for my movers to show up..

By 2:43pm . , no movers, so I started to reach out to Derek but he avoided my calls.

When 4:04pm came by, with my own investigative skills, I tracked down the “driver” only to find out that he had never been told of this job and was still three hours from my location.

I continued to wait at the storage unit. At 5:51pm, I called the driver, again, only to find out he was never going to come and any order for service he did have, was cancelled.

It has now been 72 hours and the NEW BEGINNINGS RELOCATION “business” has seemed to disappear.. along with my money..

Their “professionalism” is ANYTHING but.. their “competence” lacks and the “reviews” HAD I TAKEN THEM AT FACE VALUE.. were SPOT ON!

I STRONGLY urge you to PLEASE.. run far far far away from this company.. they are NOT WORTH your energy or efforts!

** their “dispatchers” phone number is (908) 966.2494 .. NOTE.. none of their numbers are “attached” to a business name or actual facility..

I hope this is helpful and PLEASE .. do NOT use this company!!

Local move within Washington

Worst ever.

This was our 5th move including one international and by far the worst experience I have ever had. Our move was from WA to AZ. Yes Korvin the "on phone" salesman is nice but it ends there. First of all they arrived 3 or 4 days early (based on their schedule) and then said take as much time to pack as we need, right. We were not able to employ the people we had lined up to assist so my wife and I (who are both retired) tried to do it ourselves staying up to midnight to try to accommodate "their schedule". Why were they early, because of a truck break down, come on they use UHaul! We did pay extra to have them pack some fragile items which was a joke because 90% of what they packed were broken or damaged in the move. Now you don't stand a chance to recover anything that was damaged so that is a joke but the overcharge is not right. Tom who was in charge of the move told me that we had 2672 cubic feet of items to be shipped and I told him he had to be off by at least 20%. The discussion turned into an argument and he said take it or leave it they would leave! Yes we sold our house and had to be out, so basically extortion. I protested and indicated so on the bottom of each inventory sheet. When our belongings were delivered (again many damaged items that they packed) they delivered again in a UHaul truck and trailer and were in shock as we watched them drop item after item as it was coming out of the truck! Per UHaul the max capacity of the truck is 1611 cubic feet and the trailer 333 cubic feet. Since they had items standing on end in the trailer I give them credit for twice the specified amount of 666 cubic feet for a total of 2277 cubic feet or over charge of 395 cubic feet and with their charge of $3.53 per cubic foot that amount that they still owe me is about $1400. Additionally since we were rushed in our packing they actually shipped, and charged us, for some empty boxes! No they did not say anything when they were carrying them out to the truck. They use a company called MovingClaims .net who are less then helpful but told me that any claim with regards to the overcharge needs to be settled with the carrier, and of course New Beginnings says talk to MovingClaims.net (yes I have it in writing from MovingClaims.net that they do not handle this part of the claim) but both Korvin, the salesman and "Josh" who I believe is the owner refuse to reply to me. This has been a nightmare! And of course their address is a mail drop. So at this time it is either a small claims suit for the over charge or going up the ladder on the extortion/fraud issues. PLEASE go elsewhere for your move.

Long-distance move from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA to Lacey, WA

Moving from LA, CA to Lacey, WA.

The worst company in moving, I never wrote a review but I need to to this. The salesman "Korbin" was very nice at the beginning but after they got the money, he never answer a call, the manager or director during the moving is a professional crock, his modus operandi is after you have your stuff packing he increase the price of the quotation very high and treat you with unload if you don't agree, but that is not the worse, the way that they handle your stuff, we got a lot of expensive furniture, delivered in very bad conditions one of the reasons is because the change to other truck but the don't care how do it, we paid over $7,000.00 and this people are the worse in this business, if you care in your furniture, never ever look in this company, very bad company and we did not get every thing, their answer was put a claim, my recommendation is less than zero.

Moving experience with New Beginings relocation.

My experience with new Beginings is mixed. Their pick up and delivery was on time. The service of their laborers were praiseworthy. However the on the spot manager had a horrible and bad attitude. Their customer service needs improvement. After getting the business they don't care to pick up the phone. They also managed to misplace two of my dining chairs which they could never recover and never bothered to notify us. Also, I believe their storage page filthy. Thanks to them, we got bed bug; we have been using the same bed and mattress for 12 years without any bugs before.
